Hey Everybody!
Thought you’d never hear from me again huh?
Well never fear! I am here! (rhyming not intentional lol)
So anyway…Where was I for the last couple weeks?…In my head.
I spent the break between the summer and fall semesters thinking seriously about the direction I want the things in my life – school, career, fitness, blog etc. – to go and I had some hard decisions to make.
When I first started this blog back in January I had no idea what I was doing and what was in store for me. Over the past months I’ve come to realize that for me, blogging is hard work. It isn’t just about jotting down my thoughts or my daily activities and hitting publish. I want to write things that people want to read. That will inspire or motivate people to do something – run, lift, eat healthy, work harder or even just smile more.
So when I have nothing to say, I say nothing…hence the absences.
About a month ago I decided I needed a plan. I when into this without the proper know-how and I needed to rectify that. Enter: BLOG SCHOOL!
Yes there is a school for bloggers *happy dance*. I deliberated for a while on whether or not to take the plunge and didn’t officially sign up until the night before registration closed, of course (Procrastination: 1Trillion; Giselle: 0).
Anyway, the point of this post is to ask you to bear with me while I continue to make changes to the blog, facebook page etc..
My first step will be to switch my blog over to a self hosted site so I may continue to be scarce in the coming weeks.
I’ll most likely be posting about my first 5K soon, but if I don’t I’ll see you on the other side…hopefully reorganized, relevant and read-worthy!
XOXO Giselle
p.s. as always I leave you with a little motivation:
Hey y’all!
Got a great breakfast recipe for you this morning! It’s perfect for a lazy Sunday morning but you can also make it the night before and refrigerate. Gotta love versatility 😀

Hey y’all!
It’s been a while since I’ve had the time to sit down and write a proper post. I’ve had exams for the last 2 weeks and although I wasn’t doing work every second of every day I couldn’t do much more than post some semi-daily fitspiration :(.
But exams are over – whoop whoop *happy dance* – and my time is once again my own! 😆
Anyway, on to the topic of today’s post!
Since I started running last month, I’ve only been out a few times but I got bit by the running bug for sure!
I really enjoy running while I’m running and immediately after. Unfortunately, it’s pretty easy to convince myself I don’t like it when I no longer have those lovely exercise endorphins zinging through my veins. For some reason, making the decision to get outside and run is a bit harder than deciding to go to the gym…go figure.
Every blog post or article I’ve read about motivation for new runners lists signing up for a race as a pretty big motivator. Since most of the writers are fitness professionals of some sort, I figure they know what they’re talking about lol. So last night I signed up for my first 5K!
I chose Color Me Rad, Waterloo for a few reasons:
I’m really excited about this 5K and I’m planning to set some goals for the big day! I’ll put them up as soon as I figure them out myself! 😀
Anyhoo, happy Saturday and enjoy your weekend!
Because sometimes, the only thing you can do is laugh.
